My Aunt Marie's Carrot Casserole & Mashed Potato Dish
Carrot Casserole
12 whole carrots, sliced round
1 chopped onion
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dry mustard
2 cups milk
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp celery salt
1/2 pound cheddar cheese, grated
3 cups bread crumbs
Cook carrots and drain. Cook oion in butter and stir in flour. Stir in spices and milk until mixture is smooth and think.
In a glass baking dish arrange layers of carrots and cheese ending in carrots. Pour on sauce and top with crumbs.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
