Mexican Fiesta & Hot Pepper Eating Contest

This was one of the funnest Ward Activities we did.

Devin bought a WIDE variety of Hot Peppers and we had plenty of volunteers willing to participate in the Hot Pepper Eating Contest. Tip - make sure you have plenty of milk and yogurt on hand to help "calm down" the fiery mouths!

Salsa Contest. Bishop Larson presented "Tyler and Jake" a 1st place award for their homemade salsa!!

Bruce Bird helped guide the children safely through PINATA time. We had about 3 people volunteer to bring filled pinatas.

On the below picture on the wall you'll see a large poster with half a sombero. That was our PIN A TIE ON THE BISHOP activity. On each table we had 3-4 blank paper tie cutouts for each family to color with crayons. Then they got to "pin the tie" on Bishop Larson.

Below picture features Cindy Tenney, Corey Quereto, Wayne and Erin Clarke.

Another fun activity for the kids....make your own MARACAS. Rice can easily be vacuumed up.

Styrofoam cups
Rice
Masking tape
Crayons

Put a couple of spoonfuls of rice in one cup and flip another cup on top of the cup with rice. Tape both cups together. The older kids liked building long maracas by taping many cups together.
